Quigley Chevrolet’s EV Charging Station |
 |
| This type of charging stations takes 4-5 hours from a dead battery. On a full battery, the Volt is able to travel approx. 36 miles on electric and then transitions over to its gas-powered, range-extending engine generator to provide electrical power. The Volt can then travel approx. 344 miles, until needing to be plugged in or filled up again. It gets 93 MPGe (EPA combined city/hwy). It’s possible to commute with a Volt without using any gasoline. The Volt Long-Life Battery is designed, engineered, tested and validated to deliver a long life, and we offer a limited warranty of 8 years and 100,000 miles on the battery and electric drive components. The vehicle comes with GM’s 5 years and 100,000 miles Powertrain warranty. The 2012 Volt base MSRP is $39,995 with a Federal tax credit of $7,500 available. It comes with its own 120V charger which would take about 10 hours to fully charge from a dead battery. |
