GM Service Technician
Location: Bally, PA
Reports To: Service Manager
Role Summary
Quigley Chevrolet – Bally, PA is looking for an experienced General Motors Passenger Vehicle/Light Duty Truck Technician to join our growing service team. If you're a skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and customer satisfaction, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles.
- Diagnose vehicle concerns using GM diagnostic equipment.
- Document diagnoses and repairs in accordance with GM guidelines.
- Plan repair procedures using service manuals, technical information, and experience.
- Test the functionality of vehicle systems and components.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
- Repair and replace brake components, wheel bearings, sensors, and other vehicle parts.
- Complete general mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Pursue additional certifications and training as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Present a professional appearance and represent Quigley Chevrolet with pride.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive technician experience.
- GM dealership experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions and repair information.
- Excellent communication and basic computer skills.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to treating every customer vehicle with care and respect.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, service techniques, and procedures.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation.
- Pennsylvania State Inspection License
- Pennsylvania Emissions License
- ASE Certification preferred
- Full-Time
- Hourly pay based on experience
